Hi,

My 1 year old Persian has just been diagnosed with ringworm, after some
scabby areas appeared I got her checked out by the vet and after a few visit
he took a fungal culture which has come back positive for ringworm.

What I wanted to know is what treatment is available for this problem? And
any other advice you could give me on this matter.

Thank you very much for your help,

Sue

Perhaps  you should start by stating what kind of treatment your vet
recommended?

Well, Susannah . . . . as a vet, I'm happy to tell you that a cure does
indeed exist for your problem. Stupid pills. Yes; you heard right. Surely
you have to admit that someone who has recently had a "few visit" with the
vet (and presumably knows where the clinic is situated) and yet cannot seem
to find it, again, to ask a very crucial question is in dire need of them.

You could always try hitting your head, repeatedly, against your monitor.

That's what we're here for.

My kitten had it last year and they gave her "sulfa" dips in which she came
home yellow tinted and foul smelling but the ring worm went away. She had a
large patch so they dipped her three times before it finally all went away.

Only advice I have is watch for any unusual spots on you or your family as
it is contagious to humans and other animals...
