At what age can kittens leave the nest and go off to their adopted homes.
I've heard anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks.
Thanks.

6 weeks is definitely too young. 10 to 12 weeks should be fine in most
cases.

That's true...
though we got our kitty at 8 weeks and she was fine...
just a little wobbly on her feet the first couple of days

10-12 weeks, the closer to 12 weeks the better off the little ones will be.

Better wait until they got their first vaccicination, when they're
about nine weeks old.

I picked up a stray rescue kitty when he was 4 weeks old. Having one that
young is a lot of work, but well worth it. 12 weeks old would be far better
for the average new owner and kitten. A kitten younger than that needs a lot
of attention that the new owner may not be prepared for.

They should be at least 10 weeks old, and 12 weeks is better.
