Now that I've renewed my interest in stamp collecting I just want to say how
great it is that when I sit down at my stamp table and prepare to mount and
examine expensive stamps from India Isis jumps right up and lends her
helping paws.

Do you guys have hobbies that benefit from your cat's participation?

Of course. Doing the crossword  puzzle in the newspaper. Lay the Sun down
and soon you have a furry paperweight daring you to shoo him off.

Cats are the only known mammal with optic capabilities in their anal glands.
It's not so much that they want to sit on whatever you're reading, they just
want a closer look.

Used to be, fine furniture finishing.  Until after stripping, repairing,
sealing, staining, varnishing, waxing an antique blanket chest to a glossy
finish, Tiffy leapt up, slipped and put out her claws like little crampons.

I live halfway across the province from my family, having moved due to
the Military, and so make use of the internet as a means of
communication...
Often they have received messages of random letters when I leave the
laptop open on my desk for but a second to go do something during a
conversation...
It appears she likes to type :)

So far I have learned that cats enjoy:

stamp collecting, sewing, working with tiny beads, crossword puzzles,
finishing fine furniture, gambling on-line and e-mail.

May I just say that finding hairs from my long-haired Tabby on stamps and
stamp mounts and in my album was initially very crazy-making for me?
However, once she settled in under my 250 watt desk lamp and I moved all my
equipment to suit her convenience things became more harmonious.

They also enjoy investing.  You can witness them jumping on the buy /
sell keys all the time.

It's cause-and-effect, though, isn't it? Letting a dirty, disgusting,
long-haired piece of crap crawl all over you, and your stamp album, *will*
result in its hair getting everywhere, you stupid f.cker.

You're still an idiot.
