Frontline not recommended for usage in the US ?

I bought some Merial Frontline from Australia, I called Merail to confirm it
wasn't counterfeit but they wouldn't recommend using it as it was not
approved for usage within the US (as it was sold in Australia) but they
wouldn't tell me why.

Anyone know?

IMO Because they believe it is counterfeit but will not confirm due to legal
obligations if they are wrong
