Sasquatch Pussy - 22 Apr 2006 15:38 GMT
A recently published independant study has shown that 75% of all "Bigfoot"
sightings over the last 5 years have mentioned the presence of a
supernatural cat accompanying the famous man-ape.

Many authorities see this as a sign that the mysterious Sasquatch (to give
it it's original, Appalachian name, provided by early Irish settlers) is
following a similar evolutionary path as Homo Erectionus and Homo
Neanderthal, two precursors to the modern human species (Homo Sapient). If
so, scientists agree that it is only a matter of time before they begin
domesticating other animals, such as pigs, sheep, and goats, in much the
same way that our ancestors did, and still do.

This will undoubtedly make them finally "visible" to humans, which is a bad
thing, as they would then be studied, and put in zoos.

A group of radical British wildlife enthusiasts have decided to take matters
into their own hands by trying to discourage the Bigfeet in their
modernization attempts. They intend to do this by travelling to the American
and Canadian wilderness and laying gin-traps for the cats belonging to the
Yeti-people.

The hope is that if enough of the supernatural cats are trapped the Bigfeet
will be so outraged over the horrific pain and injuries suffered by their
cats that they will, in effect, "give up" trying to make friends with other
animals, and thus stay hidden, and out of the zoo.

"Yes, it could be seen as being cruel", said the leader of the British
expedition, who, understandably, wishes to remain anonymous. "But it's for
their own good. None of us like cats much, anyway, and no-one really cares
about gin-traps these days. The skins will be sold to help with the
expenses. It's all completely justifiable, scientifically."

We, the denizens of these newsgroups, wish them well.
