worried about my cat

Hello,
I have a cat, Jonesy, that is a little over 3 years old.  He has some
ongoing problems that don't seem too serious, but they worry me.  #1.  He
always is getting "gunk" in his one eye.  He is always squinting this eye a
lot too it seems.  #2.  He has a bone cracking sound whenever he is walking.
He doesn't ever seem to be in pain though.  I mean, my bones crack if I
rotate my ankle, but it never hurts.  So I don't know whether or not to be
concerned with this.  And lastly he always acts like he's about ready to
puke something.  He'll start this hiccup like motion with his throat.  He's
not hacking like he would with a hairball.  It's almost like hiccups but he
never makes any sound.  Are any of these worth worrying about because it
seems like every time I drop $50 a the vets office, they just look at him
for 2 minutes and deem him fine.  Thanks.

I've heard a hiccup thing with mine too - it's not a hacking sound but it
most likely is just another sound they make when they've got some hair in
their throat.   As for the eye, I would go to the vet with it when it is
gunky, don't clean it up first.  I have no idea about the bone cracking sound
when walking, never heard that one before.  If you are not satisfied with
your vet, see another one for a second opinion.  Some are better than others
and will spend more time with you and your concerns.

what you do is have your employer put your pet on
the health insurance policy and then you can bring
your cat to the vet anytime you want with smaller
copays.

I have a cat that has the same problem with one of his eyes.  He was
diagnosed with having herpes in it.  There is nothing you can do for
it.  I would still take Jonesy to the vet to make sure.

I have a cat that has seems to have the same problem with one of his
eyes.  He was diagnosed with herpes in that eye.  There isn't anything
to do for it.  I would take Jonesy to the vet though.
