I have a cat tree about 5 feet from the sofa. Sometimes I lie on the
sofa to read or watch tv. My cat likes to hang out at the top step of
the cat tree and, when I least expect it, dive feet first right into my
stomach. That is not all. After landing front paws first, he like to
then dig his hind legs into my stomach and then leap off and dash away
so that I cannot catch him.

Owwww! I feel your pain but it's funny too. Of course he does it when you
least expect it, so your stomach muscles are relaxed and easily squishable;
and so he can scare the crap out of you too. You could always move the tree,
but then what fun would that be for your kamikaze cat!?

lol, You don't live a normal life do you?
You've done something wrong and
your cat is simply trying to kill you for it.
Or, your cat has been watching to many
action movies and wants to be a stunt cat.
;)

Or the cat is actually trying to keep him from breeding and keeps missing
the target :-)

Cat must be sick. Better take it to the vet.

does a cat show his love by sharpening his claws on your clothes? my
cat likes to
use the clothes I am wearing as his scratching post.

If you allow him to do it, thats your fault...showing love?? He's probably
wondering how far he can go with you.

Do you mean using you as a scratch post while you're standing there? One of
my kittys does this to me; he's really mushy when he does it so I think it's
a sign of affection.

if that's what he means...still I wouldnt allow my cats to do that to me...I
would pat them on the head and play with them if they start to do that...
