Does anyone elses boss of the house have feline acne ?
My Misty does..For a few years now..It's not as chronic as some cases that
can get really painful for them..Her Vet. said to do a wash of benzoyl
peroxide a few times a week..So I was wandering if any of your kitties out
there had to deal with this problem ?

My spirit used to get it under his chin it is caused by plastic bowls I
switched to stainless steel and no problem I used Vaseline to clean it up
when it got bad

yeah...Misty has had it for years now..Changed her bowls but it just comes
and goes..Vet keeps an eye on it..Some cats have to go through alot to get
it under control..I found a website that takes you through the process step
by step with pics...ewwwww...Poor baby it is really gross..The vet has to
put the cat out to do it!..So as long as what im doing keeps working, Misty
will not go through that! She's my love! :))

One of mine just gets blackheads, not pimples. She doesn't eat out of
plastic bowls but she doesn't clean very well under her chin and the oil from
the food accumulates there. Once in awhile I'll clean it with a washcloth
warmed with water and squeezed out. Some of the blackheads will come out
that way. But I wouldn't worry too much about it unless there are painful
pimples.

Same with Misty..She is not a great cleaner after eating..I started when she
was a kitten looking in her mouth and getting her use to me checking things
on her body so she pretty much lets me do whatever I need to do..She has had
pimples and blackheads for years but we keep it under control..I have always
had cats around all my life but she is the only one I have ever had with
acne..Her vet says to use a peroxide wash around her mouth a few times a
week..Clears the oils and debri seems to do the job..Here is a little info
for whom ever would like to check out how bad it could get.
