Hi,
I was just wondering if putting the radio on for the day while I am at work
would make Kitty feel less lonely (does he feel lonely?)
Anyone know?

He may get bored....how about getting him a playmate?

A playmate?? I have a hard enough time trying to find someone to look after
1 cat when I am out of town (frequently), I can`t imagine what I would do
with two! Besides, Marcel Kitty seems to enjoy the company of other humans
whereas he just tolerates the company of his little kitten friend, Abigail
when he stays there.
As for the radio...I think I will start to leave it on.
I usually have it turned to an 80's 90's station...I`ll try classical and
keep the volume low enough to not annoy Kitty.
Thanks!! Keep your ideas coming!

buy 1 dozen mice and set them loose in the house when you are leaving.
when you come back 1 week later, the mice will all be miraculously
gone.

I always leave the radio on when I leave the house.. I am sure it helps
the cat feel that she has company. MLB

We have a radio on in our shelter also. Play light classical music though,
not hard rock..!!

Helps to deter burglars too.

It probably would be fine if the radio is not tuned to Bill O'Reilly,
Rush
Limbaugh, or Micheal Savage. You're cat will never forgive you for
that
torture.
I usally leave on music or a TV for them to listen to.

When it comes to Matilda, it doesn't matter to her if I leave the radio on
or off seeing as she spends most of her day asleep. She'll wake up long
enough to have a nibble, a drink and use the litter box, but apart from
that, she's asleep.

Your kitty may get lonely when you are not there, leaving out toys or having
the radio on can help keep him from getting into mischief.
Cats are nocturnal animals so he may just be taking one of his 18 (average)
cat naps while you are away. They are more active at nighttime than during
the day, but I'm glad to see you are thinking about him while you are gone.
