Here are a couple of interesting articles from the BBC website on cats.

This second one claims that cats have their roots in Asia 11 million years
ago.

And this article says they can't taste sweet foods which is why they don't
like them. Do any of your guys' cats like sugary treats??

Our Gaston tolerates sweet foods that have other tastes with them. For
instance, he has to take lactulose which tastes just like sugar, but
he totally enjoys it if it is mixed with tuna juice. He hates it if
it is mixed with butterscotch flavored syrup. Sugary tuna is ok but
sugary butterscotch isn't. If he can't taste the sweet at all, then
that might explain why he enjoys the tuna flavor and not the
butterscotch.

One of my cats loves to lick the top of muffins if they're sugary.
