I was wondering if anyone knew if it is more expensive to get your cat
spayed after they have gone through their first heat?  I have asked a couple
people and they all seem to have different answers?  Also, is there anything
you can do for your kitty when she is in heat..

Absolutely no difference in cost. Unless the cat is pregnant, in which
case the spay is more expensive.

I did some reading and found out that having your cat spayed before first
heat reduces the chances of her getting some diseases and illnesses in the
future. Just had my eight month old cat spayed. Couple of days from now I'll
be removing the three stitches she received in the process. That should be
fun. Not!

My vet charges more if the cat is on heat than if the cat is not. I
think I read somewhere that there are risks associated with spaying a
cat on heat but I could be wrong but as for spaying that cat when not
on heat my vet charges exactly the same regardless of age of the cat

Now when you read this you'll think I know Edie Humperdink. there's another
like her on the planet. He told me put a que tip in the cat's a.s. Did I? Of
course not. We just took her to the vet. It sounded too weird.
