Any bright ideas as to how I get a worm dose tab. into a cat.
I have tried disguising it in food and brute force, without any success.

Any help / tips (apart from vet visit/injection) would be VERY gratefully
accepted.

Have you tried a pill gun, Brian? You can draw-up a small amount of water as
well.

Alternatively, try coating the pill in malt or gravy, and always offer treats
afterwards.

Sorry, me again, just discovered this:

It's horrifying that tablets can stay in the oesophagus for so long. The
above stresses the importance of coating the pill or administering with water.

There is also; I forgot what it's called, sort of a pill pocket. It's sticky
and sweet, if your cat is like mine it won't bite in (bitter taste) just
swallow. I was surprised, but nicely, I thought my cats were the only ones
that liked butter. They have weird tastes, Hobbes will run to me if he hears
me open a little debbie, but once it's open he loses any interest.

I gave up with my Missy and I now use Droncit spot-on liquid, similar in
application to Frontline or Stronghold flea treatment. More expensive, but
*far* less hassle..! You will need to get it from your vet.
