I notice that my 2 cats talk to each other in a different tone of voice
and vocabulary when they think I am not paying attention.  If they meow
at me, it is in the "standard" cat language that we are all familliar
with.  but then when they chat with each other, it is in an altogether
different language.

LOL!  It is true that "meow" is what cats say to people.  They don't use
it to communicate with each other.  Actually, they use much more
non-vocal communication cat-to-cat, but when thjey do vocalize to each
other, it's not in meows.  Odd, that.  I've always wondered how/why they
evolved the meow especially for people.  Cool that they did, though.  :)

there gotta be a way to learn how to speak cat.
Kind of like breaking a code.  Like morse code.
We need to learn cat code.

cats do not let you hear them speak cat.  only cats that know each
other very well speak cat.  stranger cats just meow at each other.

have to set up a tape recorder so we can break the
cat code.  Don't let the cat see you set up the
recorder.
