OK, following my fire question (thanks for the responses!), here's
another question from the inexperienced new owner of Moomin and Fudge.
How do we stop them attacking our houseplants?! They've been here a week
today, and they've already shredded two of them. We could of course just
remove all the plants, but that seems a shame, as well as being rather
defeatist!

First of all, check the poison list to see which are toxic to cats.
Then buy some kitty grass and catnip plants. Then hope for the
best. MLB

Hmmm, that's a tough call. I found that I just couldn't keep houseplants as my
oldest feline, Kenya, would chew them to shreds. Mind you, she would mainly do
this while I was in the room, so I think it was more of an attention-getting
device than anything. This isn't exactly a problem in my house as I have a
black thumb, so the plants are pretty much doomed either way ;)
I know a lot of people don't approve, but there is the water pistol method. I
had to use this on Kenya in regards to our Xmas tree - She got the message very
quickly. Good luck! :)
