Over the years, I have owned cats, letting them outside as they wish,
but my spouce is allergic to cats. Is there any preticular breed or
type that is hardy, fast, loyal, smart, etc. or generally suited to
living outside? Thanks.

Let's see, you're looking for a cat that is:
capable of fighting off predators like coyotes
smart enough to avoid cars
cunning as to avoid evil people

Yeah, I guess, I was just wondering if there were any recomendations. I
have a large yard (around 6 acres, mostly forest) so they would be able
to avoid most predators. I was just wondering if you had any
reccomendations?

I seen a cougar driving home from work.  I called
the DNR and there aren't any fully documented
cases, although there is proof (hair on car,
cougar feces) etc.  It was an unbelievable site.
