I have been caring for an orphaned kitten for about a week.it is probably
about 10 days old.Just starting to open its eyes today.I have been feeding
it kitten formula with a syringe and has worked well until the past 2
days.It will hardly eat at all now.Is still urinating and having bowel
movements though. What could have happened and what can I do.It is starting
to cry a lot!NEED HELP PLEASE!

You can find a bottle and nipple at a pet store.  Perhaps sucking on the
nipple will make the little one more content.  Best of luck.   MLB

Have you changed the type of food you are giving it??  How often are you feeding it??  Has
it been seen by a vet yet??

Good luck.

BY THE WAY:

You might want to try posting this to alt.med.veterinary and see if someone there might be
able to help you out.

Is it warm enough? You might want to wrap a hot water bottle in a towel and
put it where your keeping the kitten.Normally she would have other kittens
and a mommy next to her.She might just be lonesome. An old wind up alarm
clock ticking sort of resembles a heart beat[works with puppies].Poor
little thing. Good luck.

Also, be careful your not over feeding it.If you force feed you might get
air in it's stomach. You could end up with a situation like a human baby
with a stomach ache and needs to be burped.Ha,ha.Funny but true.

I commend you for taking this little one on!

However, if I were in your shoes, I'd be consulting a vet.

Best wishes to you and this little one!
