Oh, my.  We were hoping for better news.  But I'm glad you know.  She's a
lucky old girl to be so well loved and so well looked after.  You will
cherish your remaining time with her in a different sort of way now.  You'll
have the privilege of "spoiling" her, and when the time comes, of making it
easy for her.  And there won't be the nagging questions of whether you did
the right things.
