The best thing I have found is PetZyme.  It is available at PetSmart, but
this is Labor Day weekend -- so I would suggest you go to any open store
(WalMart, large grocery, etc.) and look for some type of *enzymatic*
cleaner.  It's important to be enzymatic; othrwise, the cat will smell the
residue and may use the same spot again.  If you do find PetZyme, be sure it
is the formulation for cats.

I've not heard of that one, it may actually be better, but there is also
Nature's Miracle if you can't find that.  Whatever you use, you must make
sure it soaks through the whole stain, and let it dry completely - takes a
bit of time to work, but usually does the trick.  You may need to treat more
than once if there was a lot, but let it dry completely before you decide
whether it's worked or not.

Best of Luck,
Ann

Petsmart should be open this weekend.  I just picked up a window perch, but it
doesn't fit the window.   :(

The answer is Methalated Spirit, or any other Methanol that you can get,
like Vodka.

exuse my laughter, I cant help you because I've been trying to get the smell
out of a good bathroom rug
for at least eighteen months [only because it wassuch a good one ] I finally
gave up and threw it away
only two days ago, and I tried everything!God knows how many times I washed
it in different
concoctions. I wish you good luck someone may have the answer.  jp

LOL....reminds me of these two big cushions the cats messed on about
two/three years ago, which I've tried to clean many a time with many a
substance, and they still have a faint smell....I still valiently try on
occassion, because I hate getting rid of them, but it bugs me to smell it!
They just may go the way of your bathroom rug at some point.... :)
