Hope you have some suggestions on how to make life more comfortable for my
poor 9 year old Jaffa who has to wear an Elizabethan Collar for 2-3 weeks
after an eye operation. She's only had it on since last night but just
freaks out every time she tries to move, darts around the house and then
hides somewhere with her head down facing into a wall... How can they eat
and drink with these things on (she hasn't even tried yet), let alone clean
themselves after 'visiting the bathroom' etc. She's miserable and so am I...

I googled Elizabethan Collar.  You should do the same.  There's tons of
stuff to read.  And, I thought this was cute:

`Looks a lot more comfy!!  Like I said...  do a google search.  Really good
stuff to read up on.  `Hope Jaffa mends up quickly!!

I used this type of blow-up collar on my cat the last time he needed it. It
was SO much better than the cone/plastic one. H was actually able to lay
down comfortably with it, it's just like a pillow. And no more scratches
along the wall where he dragged the plastic collar!!
