flea powder

what is the group's opinion of flea/tick powder for their cats?

I'd never use it. In fact, I dont' use any over the counter products,
they have a bad track record. I stick to Revolution.

You should never use flea powder on your cat. You have to put it all over
them, and then what do they do?  They bathe themselves, ingesting the flea
powder, which can make them extremely ill!

Never used it. I tried some tablets in the cats' food which kill the fleas.
Never had a problem since.
