Well, I don't speak or read french but what I could make out is evidently
the Chartreus cats originated in Africa.I do recall them being in early
Egypt.If I understood correctly General De Gaulle had one that was pigeon
blue.When I was a little girl my mother had a cat that looked like these.I
doubt if it came from such prestigious heritage as these fine animals but
it was very intelligent.Mom called hers "Squeaky" and she never had to set
an alarm clock while she had him.Every morning at the appropriate time
Squeaky would walk upstairs[he sounded like a man on the stairs]and come
in to my mother's bed and gentlely pat her on the cheek to wake her.He was
much loved.  DEW
