Think yourself lucky, it's 85.9p per litre here in the UK (damn metric
measurements..!) which works out at a lot more..! (Can't do the conversion
in my head..!)

$6.05 per US gallon. That about right? The real difference is the HUGE
amount of social and road taxes your government heaps upon fuel consumption
compared to the US. The price of fuel before taxation is otherwise similar
to the US.
