How difficult is it to get a cat to change from an open litter tray to the
closed in box type? Any advice welcome!
cheers

You will never know until you try him/her with the enclosure. Just hope
your kittie doesn't decide to sleep in there too!

I assume you are referring to one of those motorized self cleaning types.I
did some quick research for you via some of their ads that have
testimonials available. Most people said that the noise from the motor took
some getting used to.Also that a kitten or light weight cat wouldn't trip
the mechanism.Eventually curiousity got the best of them and they started
using it. DEW

Got Kiwi a cheap one last year from Argos(bout £10), not sure if they
still sell them though. Left it next to his tray for a few days and
chucked treats in(door removed) til he got used to it. Then put door on
and continued giving him treats in it. Then transferred all his used
litter into the bottom of the new one and put it back where the old one
was without the roof for about 3 days. Then put the roof on(no door)
for about a week, then put the door on and havent looked back.
As long as you introduce it slowly, stage by stage you shouldent have
any problems.
