It made it to People's magazine. Thankfully it's NOT going to make it as a
law. However, the goofy guy who said "we can't have Wisconsin known as the
cat killing state" (not a direct quote) needs to be shot himself. In the

That's good news. The cat hunting idea was monstrous.

Considering that the guy you're not-exactly-quoting is WI governor Jim Doyle
and he's said he would veto it if it ever crossed his desk, I'd rather not
shoot him. He's on our side, and he isn't even owned by any cats.

You missed my point entirely. It's how he said it. I don't care who he is.
Mr. Doyle sounded more concerned for the state then the cats (and feral
cats).
That's why I typed "I look at what the cat thinks"!!

That's true enough. He beleives that cat hunting would be bad for the image
of the state of Wisconsin. He's right of course. He may not be a cat lover,
but we ought to take what we can get if it will stop the bill.

However, articles I have read have made it clear that residents in rural
areas have long shot annoying cats anyway and good enough for them. Well,
trapping is better, but if shooting works, why not? I own a cat and love it
and would never shoot it, but I'd think nothing of shooting a cat in the
rural areas if the owners refused to control them and they kept hopping on
my new car & getting paw prints on the hood or they were getting in the
trash and making a mess.

Neither do well behaved men, but since when is that an excuse to be a bitch
or a jackass?
