I've got a 6 year old long haired Tabby named Isis. All winter long she's
been into her usual groove of eating, sleeping, and sleeping. I've had the
windows open here in Illinois for a few days now that spring is here and all
is changed.
1. Her need for playtime has TRIPLED.
2. She is extra extra cranky in the morning.
3. There is lots of zooming around with eyes that are dilated as big as
moons.
4. She is looking at me strangely. Well, you know.
Are any of you guys experiencing a bout of Spring Fever with your cats?

Definately Spring Fever Syndrome around here too. My two are going nuts
trying to go to every open window in the house. At night as it cools a
little bit, they decide that it is the time to play the "window game".
I'm sure that it will subside once the hot weather starts up.

Around here we have the sure cure for spring
fever, winter ain't over yet. It snowed this week.
Tonight the temperature will get down into the 20s. Spring ain't here
yet.

Hi Mike,
I'm new here though I have been lurking. This is my first post :-) I had to
reply as I've been having fun with my two Toms. They are one year old and
have been having fun and games the last few mornings. One of them (Francis)
is usually very laid back whilst his brother (Rick) is usually a lot more
playful. Spring is definitely in the air today! This morning, before I had
woken properly, they were running around like a pair of tornados. I woke up
quickly. It really doesn't matter if any thing "appears" to be in their way,
they just jump over, through or in it! and that includes me if I happen to
be in the way.
They are now both curled up sound asleep. I must just go and run round like
a tornado to wake them! ;-)

Sounds like our torti "Buffy" every morning. Just add:
5. Attacks furniture, other cat, and shoes (also with wildly dialated
pupils)
6. Jump in/on water dish, tipping it over, then runs at the water and slides
and spreads it all over kitchen

Thanks for the support, everybody. I *think* things have quieted down. I'll
be honest. In the past when Isis has gone bonkers for too long I've called
in my Secret Weapon - Catnip! That's made her super nutzo for a short time
then she goes into a kitty coma of joy.
This time it didn't work. Spring Fever PLUS Catnip is the super deluxe hyper
crazy combination. DON'T DO IT!
