Every once in a while, someone asks me this and I don't have a clue.

Can you tell just based on looks?

I kind of figured most cats are mutts anyway.

She is a beautiful grey domestic medium hair.  :)

Thanks

And I just added this one:

http://members.cox.net/zap644/pictures/kitty_table.jpg

although it's not as good, I really like the mallard.  Someday I'll
plant something in it again (it's a planter/lamp - from the '50s or so I
was told when I bought it).

Is she an abandoned cat?  A happy cat?  or a grey cat?

I think she's a mix of all 3.

Oh, sorry. Was just trying to help out and didn't think to answer.
She is absolutly a beautiful, healthy and happy looking cat.

Id guess she has some Persian in her maybe, it is kinda hard sometimes to
tell unless they are identical to cats breeds people are used too.

Looks like she might be part Persian and the color in the picture looks
like a "blue" -- whatever she is, she is a lovely looking cat.  She could
be a Love Bug.  MLB

To me she looks like a Maine Coon Mix,  I see alot in my rescue group.  Is
she a bigger than normal cat, long legs instead of the short found of the
Persian.  SHe is a beautiful blue girl.  DeborahY

I don't think she's bigger than normal, but then I don't really know
what normal is and she's only about 8 months old.

I don't remember for sure, but I think she was about 3.5 pounds a couple
of months ago last time she visited the vet.

I hope she doesn't get too big - I think she's just about the perfect
size right now.
