Don't know when a cat is meant to stop growing but he is definatly as
big or bigger than all the other cats in the area.

How did you manage to keep your eye on both of them at the same time?!
Do you have any fish in your pond? Kiwi was more like lou when he first
went out, Very cautious, then after a week he wouldn't stop anywhere for
more than a couple of seconds. Now he is just determined to catch one of
the birds! Ki has an obsession with my lavender!

Thats the scary bit, when they start exploring! Did it take long for
macavity to use the cat flap?
>> Poor Macavity, bad enough when somebody knows they need to lose weight

The little darling! Who needs an alarm clock when you have a hungry cat?!

Mmm.. Seeing our two has made me realise just how big Macavity is. He's
definitely the biggest cat in our street.

Aww I'm sure he does. (That's what I keep telling myself, anyway!)

Hubby and I were both out there - hubby on standby to jump over the
fence if needs be.
>Do you have any fish in your pond?
Yeah, we've got about six, I think. Not ours actually, we were "looking
after them" for hubby's step-dad, but that was about three years ago.
:o)

Sounds like he's much more confident now. So what's the plan - is he
going to be supervised for much longer?

He got the hang of it very quickly. We opened the patio doors one day
and just let him have a roam around. It was really sweet, he sat there
looking at us, looking at the door, looking at us, looking at the door.
As if he was saying: "Really? I can go out? Really?" We let him get
used to it, then took him out the front and encouraged him to go through
the catflap. Then did it the other way round, and so on until he had
it. Took about ten minutes! :o)

Indeed. He has a wee routine going too:
1. Jump on pillow, purring.
2. Miaow.
3. Stand on chest, purring.
4. Miaow.
5. Stand on head, purring.
6. Miaow.
7. Jump up onto windowsill, bash the blinds.
8. Miaow.
9. Jump onto belly from windowsill.
10. Miaow.
11. Bite feet, purring.
12. Miaow.
13. Bite finger.
14. Reach under pillow, hook claw into hastily withdrawn hand and pull.
Hard.
15. Bite finger.
16. Miaow.
:o)
