I am looking for a kitten, preferrably 0-6 months old and free, for my
niece.  Anyone who has one can contact me at 952-5400.  Ask for Lisa.  I can
guarantee that he or she will go to a good home.  Thank you.

Do you realize that this group is read by people from all over the
world? Giving a phone number like that without area code or even country
code is really useless. I can tell from your email address that you're
in Canada, but that's about it.

Looks like Winnipeg, so that would be country code +1, probably area
code 204.

It might be helpful to say where you are.

Paris, France?  Sydney, Australia?  Santiago, Chile?  Fort Worth,
Texas?

Why would anyone handover a cat to a Usenet post? Let me see if I have an
envelope big enough. ;-) Go to the shelter and pick out a nice kitty, you'll
be saving it's life.

Why are you looking for a free one?

Really? You can guarantee this?

Have you consulted your niece? Is she prepared to financially take on the
responsibilities of this life for the (at least) 15 years?

If she is not prepared to do this, don't look for a cat for her that will
cost you nothing. If you give her a "free cat" that she cannot afford to
maintain - you will be putting her and yourself in an uncomfortable
position, not to mention the fate of this cat.

Thank long and hard about it before you do this!
