Hello Everyone,
I've been lurking for a couple of days and now decide it's time to introduce
myself.
I'm a UK cat lover and have kept cats for 25 years .. and adored them for
much longer. My current cats are:
Cheetah - British Short Hair Tabby Torteshell with white spats; female of
course. She will be 1 year old on 4th March .... and
Panther - BSH Silver/Grey Tabby with white spats. Female. She is just
over 7 months old.
They are both lovely-natured cats from a cat rescue kitten-rearer. I am
still busy training them and they are responding very well. Cheetah is a
serene and occasionally aloof lady, but she adores me (it's mewtual!) so
much that she cries if I pop upstairs (where cats aren't allowed), and
brings me presents of worms! Panther is a deeply cute minx with a purr
like a 60cc engine. She loves heaps of fuss, but cries if cuddled or held.
This is due to her being trapped behind a cupboard as an 8wk old kitten and
severely traumatised. I spend lots of time reassuring her and explaining
the importance of being held for safety and grooming reasons. She is
improving greatly. Otherwise, she is not nervous at all - if anything, she
is a bit reckless. She has great confidence and is inclined to bully
Cheetah slightly.
That's enough about us for now.

well
i have not posted here in a while
so i might as well say "hi" to you...
here is how i started out with cats:
when i was 16 years old and living with parents
(about 39 years ago) my younger sister wanted a cat...
but i said that I hated them!
i thought they were dangerous, vicious and unfriendly.
well she got one anyway...a calico kitten.
when i came home from school...
there was the little (cute) kitten right at the door.
i looked at it
she looked at me...
the kitty then sneezed and fell over !!!!
well, there went that idea about cats being dangerous, vicious and
unfriendly
needless to say i fell in love with cats
and have always had a cat ever since...
right now all i have is one old cat named "white cat"
he's about 17 years old (he adopted me and my girlfriend)
and he's in super good health (other than having lost some teeth)
he still plays like a kitten
and even though i;ve posted this a hundred times before
here is one more time

Nice to see somebody else owns a white cat. Kiwi's sister(also white)
had different coloured eyes like yours.

btw: the cat was not bothered by those ears...
a 9 year old girl had come over here wearing them one Easter...
and she just stuck them on the cat... he sat there calm as can be!

This is still may favorite picture. There is just something special about
those beautiful slanted eyes and the cat so serene. MLB

well...even though he's missing a few teeth now he's still doing
great...and though i've had many good cats over the years i have never
had one so friendly as ole "white cat"
i keep one cat brush at the top of the stairs...
and one at the bottom...
whenever he wants to be brushed (which is just about all of the time)
he'll run over to either the top or bottom stair (depending on which
floor i am on) then cry until i start brushing him!

Welcome. Have a roll in the catnip patch (which I've decided we need to
have growing here at a.p.c. to greet newcomers.) Hope to be hearing more
about your girls.
