>T
>hey are all beautiful Katie. You are a proud meow-my :)
Thankyou!! I am very proud - people at work think I'm nuts, but they're
my babies!!
>So sorry about Jess, what happened to the lil sweety? He was so adorable.
Ohh little Jess - it was awful. We didn't know that lillies were
poisonous to cats, and we had some in the house. Jess was playing with
them, and although we stopped her whenever we saw her do it, it was
impossible to watch her 24/7. A few days later she was vomiting and
crying when she was in her litter tray so we rushed her to the vets.
They kept her in overnight (with someone watching her) did some tests
and it turned out to be acute renal failure. We got to see her at the
vets before she died - they had a drip going into her, and had been
giving her everything they thought might help. She gave me a little
chirrup when we saw her - and I kind of lost it a bit. The next morning
we got a call from the vet to say that she'd been having seizures, and
it was time to let her go. I was devastated - I still think about her
all the time. Yesterday, I saw an identical kitten to Jess run up our
path and into our house - it was lovely, but very sad. Turns out there
are two of them - a girl and a boy - who belong to the house round the
corner. They're beautiful - but it breaks my heart whenever I see them.
>Love the1st and boxing picture of Lou,I had to save em (hope that's ok) in
>my cat pics collection, he is just so sweet and funny!
No problem! That's lovely!! I really love that boxing picture - I think
she was trying to catch the flash from the camera - little cutie.
>And love Ella, she looks a picture of my Shadow :) Elegant and silky :)
She's beautiful - really sleek. She's a real sweetie too - always
wanting cuddles and coming up and "kissing" me.
>Macavity is a lovely chap too, love his stripy tail :) Oh I can see you
>donethe same as me with the top of the cupboard :) I had to eventually empty
>the blue Ikea boxes and give them to cats:) Now my stuff is not allowed on
>the cupboard he he:)
Ohh that's quite an old photo - he's put on a lot of weight since then.
We've just been to the vets with him for his annual booster, and she's
putting him on a restricted diet. He's too fat to get up there now! :o(

Im so sorry to hear that, poor little girl; This must have been devastating
for you. I lost my baby QT to the road 5 yrs ago and never got over him
really. I feel your pain.My Qt was 3 weeks before his 1st b-day.
Unfortunately we can never get over the pain. We just learn to live with it.
Give yourself time.Few months is not enough...

So sorry to hear this also, many purrs for your lost girl.
Does anyone here have a comprehensive list of what houseplants are
poisonous to cats..? My Missy loves munching on grass when she's out, but
although I've never seen her actually nibble at the houseplants, she does
investigate by sniffing them a lot..! I'm a plant ignoramus, I don't know
a lily from a begonia so it's no good asking, but if I know what to avoid
I can check we don't have any of the offenders, or if we do they're placed
out of harm's way.

I don't know what plants are poisonous to cats, but I put a tray of cat
grass by all areas where I have plants. They seems to prefer munching on the
grass rather that the plants. Of course, I have no idea what they do while
I'm sleeping. So far my plants have survived.

Thanks Katie, I just dumped the Philodendron, it was hanging all over the
place. I bookmarked the link.

No worries - it scared me a bit too. Thing is, cats tend to be quite
sensible about these things - Macavity didn't go near it, but kittens
are a bit daft and don't have as much common sense. :o(

Thanks Gee - it's always difficult losing a beloved pet. Sorry to hear
about your QT - somehow it's worse when they're young.
