If you use a space heater and kitty starts sitting in front of it,
make sure no part of his body is touching the front grille!
Kitty layed too close with his foot touching the front one day,
and it left a nasty burn on his foot, this happened back in November
and the hair still hasn't fully returned to 2 of his toes, and the
hair that did grow back is bright white (he's a black cat)
Now I put a piece of upside-down duct tape infront of the heater
so he keeps a small distance from the heater (he really loves the
thing)

Here's a safety tip.  Get rid of your space heater.
