My 13 YO cat is hanging in there but there is a question.  My vet said
to give 150CC of warmed ringers solution every other day under his skin
to help counter balance his failing kidneys.  I think he needs more and
a friend who had a similiar situation gave his cat at least 150CC
2x/day.  Have started giving him 150CC daily and he is has more energy
- I suspect his kidneys are almost gone and this is the only water his
system gets.

Any suggestions before I call the vet.

Thanks

I would suggest listening to your vet and not your friend!

The second cat in question may very well have a different weight and
chemistry balance than your cat, necessitating a larger fluid volume
injection than your kitty.

Why question your vetinarian after getting advice from a "friend" who
has no vet training?
