does anyone know the cheapest place to get frontline spot on online? ive
three cats and live in the countryside and have a wood at the bottom of my
garden so i use it all year round. it costs a fortune for a six pack (?26)
of frontline which only lasts ten weeks(but it does work just want to save
some money).Ive seen in various newspapers(the times) that its cheaper
abroad and can be brought over the counter in a lot of countries but has
anyone got any experience of this?

many thanks in advance.

I don't know if they carry it or not but Biovets.com is the cheapest web
site I have found for vet products.  I get my cat's cosequin from there
for up to $7 less than other sites. So you might want to check it out.

Hi Mike,

How often do you use frontline?  I use it on mine every three weeks, so
a pack of six lasts me 18 weeks.

Lots of people buy dog-size doses of many Rx flea medications and divide
them to apply to their cats. My doctor has said this is ok for liquid
meds. Just divide the volume to ensure you get the same dosage of active
ingredients present in a regular cat dose.

Yes Mike
I understand, I live in Australia & have2 cats & it DOES get very expensive.
It does work very well & am reluctant to not use it, but when your finances
are tight this does become a big issue. I pay AUD$66 for 6 treatments,
unsure how that matches your currency.
In OZ we have a big flea/tick problem.
If anyone knows where we can get it cheaper online would be great.

Buy the large dog dose, and split it up amongst your cats.  I have discussed
this with the Merial rep, and he says it is safe.

he also recommends if you have a large cat, to use a small dog dose on it.

you could also look into the front line spray.  it seems to be more cost
effective - but not as easy to apply.

That's a great suggestion, but make sure that you check the manufacturers
directions or consult your veterniarian before swapping back and forth
between dog & cat formulas.  Frontline Plus for Cats specifically instructs
that it is for use on cats only.  Since the contents appear interchangeable,
I can only assume that the dosages are a bit different per kg of body
weight.

Mike

I also have 3 cats. I've been purchasing Frontline for some time from a
great pet supplies store in AUSTRALIA.  Their customer service is great and
I usually receive within 4-5 days of ordering.  A 6-month supply costs
approx. $46-$50 USD, depending on the value of the USD at time of order.
Their price is better than any other I found on the web. Their web site is
also very user friendly.  Also, at the web site join their newsletter.
They will email you current info. on sales, new products, and specials
(purchasing Frontline with no S/H).

Contact info.:  Pets-Megastore

                          or
               sales@pets-megastore.com.au  (E)

On web checkout the total amount will be in AUD.  Ask them for the USD
amount by phone or email.

Best of luck,
