How Do I Find a Good Vet in the Denver (CO) Area?

I recently moved to Colorado and am living in the South-West area of
Denver (just North of Littleton for those familiar with the area).

I have two old cats and need to find a good vet for them, but don't even
know anyone here.

Obviously the phone book is filled with vets, but can tell me nothing of
their quality and reputation.

Are there any unbiased/independent resources which can help me find a
new vet here?

I don't care much about location or cost if it means having a really
good vet.

Thanks!

I chose my current vet by searching those who have a diplomate from the
American Association of Feline Practitioners:
http://www.aafponline.org/find.php
What being in their list tells me is that the doctor had more schooling
specific for felines, which is very important for me. I want the best
possible care for my cats, and I think I have it now.

You say you don't mind travelling a bit.  If that's true, I swear by my vet
(sadly, I've moved out of state and will miss them lots).  Cheshire Cat
Animal Hospital is in a little strip mall at the northeast corner of 92nd
and Wadsworth.  Dr. Jill Starcevich, who owns it, is a member of the
above-mentioned organization.  I think she also hired vets who are also
members.  Note that this place specializes in cats, and do not practice on
other animals.
Tell 'em I sent you and said hi, and give Dietz and Mini my love.
