I need to cut my Himalayn's hair. She is knotted up really bad. I didn't
know it before it was too late... cause she isn't a lap cat and doesn't even
like to be bothered, etc. So, one day when I was touching her, I found
terrible big... really big knots. They are under the hair. I can't beleive I
can't see them w/o touching her, but I can't.

Anyway, she doesn't like to be held, or messed with. Is there something over
the counter, or from the vet that I can give her to make her relax while I
try to cut some of the knots away? Also, any techniques that you can suggest
to help cut the fine hair; as she has very very loose skin, and it is so
hard to see where the hair stops vs the skin.

I dont' mind paying the vet to groom her, but at this stage, I would be very
embarrassed to take her in. They would think that I was just cruel and mean
to let it get that bad. And right now, I feel that way.

Any suggestions would be appreaciated.

I would take her in and exolain.  The fact that you bought her in should show that you did
not let it get that bad on purpose.  Good luck.
