I'm fairly certain you were taking the mick, but I saw this before, and
unlike a lot of people who thought it was sick, I actually did think it was
moving. However, I just read a follow up link, with several different
versions of what actually happened: that the bunny is still alive, and the
person only wrote that to see the reaction; that it was dead and they wanted
to eat it but didn't know the health risks; and on and on. So I really
don't know what the real story is, but I actually think the idea is touching
in a ritualistic sense, though I don't think I could ever do it. A lot of
tribes do this to honor their dead and absorb their wisdom and strengths.
