Ok, maybe Im nuts but I have never see anyone post about their cat
moving their water dish.
Ok here it is. Every time we give 'Saki his water he literaly MOVES it
(spilling it all the way) to a place where he will sit and drink it.
THEN he will pester us to refill it and the process starts over again.
Has ANYONE experienced this?

Could the dish be moving while he is trying to drink out of it?

We have to put a glasses of water in each of the two bathrooms for out
youngest cat, she will not drink out of anything else.  We usualyl place
them in the corner but she will move them out about 2 feet because she likes
to sit in the corner to drink.

When you give the cat water have you tried placing the dish where the
final destination is?  Maybe for whatever reason cat wants the dish
at the final destination?

Maybe the cat spiling the water on purpose to get your attention?

That would be ok.. BUT it end up in ALL SORTS of diffrent places. The
bathroom rug, the muiddle of the kitchen floor . . .
Its so FUNNY to watch him too.. He looks up at me as if to say .."here
is where I want it today.. "

It sounds like he is moving it because he can.  Is it really light weight?
If so, perhaps a larger, heavier bowl would work.   MMMMMMLB

Our cat Simon will shove the water dish into the food dish. This makes the
water slosh into the food so it will be moist.

I read somewhere that the water dish should not be by the food dish.  In
fact, since then, I keep her water dishes in other rooms from were I feed
her.  She still prefers drinking from the running bathroom tap even though
her Petmate  fountain is right there.

Was there a reason that the water bowl shouldn't be near the food dish?

As I remember, in nature animals do not  have water available where they
eat -- or something like that.  It was at least 20 years ago that I read
about it.  MLB
