I'm ursula and I am 16 years old... Before goin on vacation to my
grandma's, my dad surprises me with a secret. He has been seeing a woman
for 2 1/2 years and married last December, before this I thought he was
goin away for work, but little do I know he was seeing a different woman
in Australia.. = ( We live in Seattle by the way. My mom is too sick and
depressed to care, so its a sad situation. Now I have to move in with my
dad and his new wife who I haven't met. She has a large orange cat named
chibi, since it flew over it has killed a crow and many mice, and almost
a poodle.. Problem is, I have a cat named sunny she is black and white.
Sunny hates other cats, so the question is, is there any hope for the
two of them getting along?
Thanks!

It is always difficult to introduce adult cats to each other. Can Sunny
stay with your mother?

keep your cat in your room for a while. if chibi hisses at the door, you'll
have to wait longer to introduce them. Spend lots of time patting chibi,
and make sure that your parents do as well. bring items that your cat has
slept on and show them to chibi. Occasionally let him in to the room to
sniff around (with your cat out of the way) after some time, he will get
used to the idea there is another cat in the house. he might not like it,
but it can be done.
