Hi,

I planned to visit my family but one of my cats was sick in the car.
She had her mouth open like a dog and she was kind of hissing..  She had a
lot of saliva.  I went back home.  As soon as we were home, she behaves like
nothing had happened.  She was no more sick.  What happened?  It was not
hot.  My other cat was just fine.  Is there a way to prevent it from
happening again?

            Thanks,

                   Richard

That kind of behavior from a cat is extreme stress. Drooling in any
cat is
from stress, even when happy they drool (I have 2 who just slobber
when
happy)

You might get some mild herbal trtanquilizer from the pet store (more
likely from a Feed Store) or even your Vet if you must take a trip
with them.

Too much of that stress and your cat could collapse or take a seizure.
