I live in UK where its normal to have outside cats.
My 2 cats Mozzy and Tilly have started to catch many birds.
They were both stray and used to feeding themselves.
Apart from keeping them in at bird feeding times what else can one do?

nothing.  not even keeping them in at bird feeding times.  Cats will hunt
birds if there are birds to hunt.  Only sure way to keep that from happening
is to keep them inside full time.
