We have 2 1 year old cat cats. Patches, the neutered female, has a
reoccuring problem. The skin between the pads on the feet gets raw. The
first time (the left front foot) the vet gave us steroids and an antibiotic
which cleared it up. The next time (again left front) I cleaned it with
hydrogen peroxide and applied neosporin. It cleared up after a few days. Now
the the right front has the same problem.
It is only one foot at a time. She may limp some and licks it a lot.
They are never outside, the house is clean, the litter is a clean clay type
the first time but now we are using "The World's Best Litter". It is great,
not odor and is flushable. They are not declawed but the claws are clipped
carefully.
Any ideas as what might be causing the problem?
Thanks

I would go back to the vet for a diagnosis. The vet may need to do some
tests. It could be an allergy - it could be a fungus condition. What is
neosporin?

Neosporin is a mild antibiotic for cuts. In an ophthalmic grade it is also
suitable for eye infections.

did the vet consider a food allergy?
or possibly do you have any new substance in your house that they got into?
