One of our cats loves to find a magazine or even just a piece of paper on
the floor.  She steps on it with her front paws which she then proceeds to
move quickly as if she was running.  It's the weirdest thing.  She just runs
in place with those two paws.  She's declawed and seldom uses the "clawing
post." that we bought for them.  Her brother never does this.

Has anyone else seen such behavior?-

Affirmative.  Karma, my dearly departed little orange tabby, used to do
that all the time.  We called it "nutty paws" (or "crazy feet").
