How's everyone and their cats doing in this heatwave we are having here in
the UK. I don't know how hot it is everywhere else but it's hot, hot, hot
here.

My poor little black Murphy is feeling it, he's stretched out as much as he
can to cool down. Poor little guy is still recovering from his illness too
so he's probably feeling the heat more than he might otherwise. (He was at
the vets yesterday for a check up, his temp is back to normal, not
dehydrated but still has loose stools, the vet gave him some keogel to firm
them up. This morning we had a proper stool, I don't know if it was the
keogel or if he was on the mend anyway as he only had one dose of it last
night before bed. Just got see now if it remains that way).

As for me, well I hate the heat, I've kept all curtains closed and got 3
fans running, what I wouldn't give for aircon.

Daft bugger put his foot/leg in my full mug of coffee earlier, good job I
take a lot of milk and it wasn't that hot.

Mistoffelees is hating it. he is a long haired black cat and he finds heat a
problem. he has taken to living in the store room as it is all concrete and
has th eone and only air vent for the flat in it. he can also see Grizzy
whne she puts in appearance as he hates to play in this weathr.

Grizzy  is till racing around as per normal, nothing seems to bother her.
only difference is she cant understand hy dinner is late as they wont eat
cat meat if it too warm.

Mind you she has just found out what ice cream is and quite enjoys it.

Mine are feeling it too - the afternoon snooze on the roof has changed
to the snooze in the metal bath. Both of them like sponging down with
cool water as long as it's not excessive. Freind of mine has a Persian
cross and no air-con - I suspect a cat is going to get clipped if this
heat carries on for much longer.

The other 42% are made up later on.
In Warwick - looking at flat fields and that includes the castle.

It is about 94 here at noon and expected to reach 104.  I stay indoors and   Tootie is in sleeping
at the moment.  She likes to be on the north enclosed patio most days.  The air smells smokey from
the fires in the mountains.  It would be nice to get a good rain.  MLB

My Tia gets her belly shaved when its hot, she sweats and gets flaky
skin...the vet recommended bringing her in to get it done
It makes here much more comfortable
