Hi everyone. I just found this site and wanted to introduce myself.
I currently have 2 cats. I lost my 12 year old baby, Rocky, 2 weeks ago
today after a valiant fight against kidney disease. I miss him very, very
much. He had "separation issues", so was like my own personal shadow. It's
strange not having him around.
I have another 12 year old, Pixie. He's Rocky's brother. And I have a 10
year old, Pepsi.
Because of the huge hole in my life that Rocky has left behind I will be
getting an 8 week old kitten this week. Because both of my boys are getting
on a bit, I'll be integrating them slowly. I'm now the proud owner of a
"kitten cage", which is currently taking up the majority of my living room
it's so big :O). I'm not hugely happy about putting him or her in a cage
while we're out or during the night, but I wanted to ensure that he or she
would be safe. We have a cat flap and I couldn't bear it if he or she
wondered out and got lost or hurt. But hopefully it will only be a short
term measure. Once all the innoculations are done and my boys are used to
our new arrival, then the cage will only be used if he or she want's some
alone time.
So anyway, those are my boys. I'm happy to have found a place where I can
talk about my baby's without people thinking I'm nuts for being so crazy
about my cats. :O)

Doing ok Hopefully ok on your end
the fires scared he hell out of us they were way to close now Sunday is
the first day of hurricane season.
I got a family member in the hospital going thru open heart surgery tonight
SO I am very worried right now he is 85 I am praying for the best.
I meant we do more information for helping people than acting as a community
there are only a few of us that are regulars here it is not like for example
the RPCA that has over 2000 active members compared to us here with about a
dozen or so that are friendly with each other.
Thanks for asking. I have been taking it easy on the groups too many
trolls too many headaches too much gripes just took a little break. I scan
the groups now and than and see what I can do but don't go into anything
deep right now no patience for it

Yes, I hear you right there. I left the groups totally for almost a
year, I think and came back lurking for a while. Haven't been to rpca
in a long time.
All my best wishes to your family member, I hope he pulls through
alright.

The latest think is that eight weeks old is too young for a kitten to be
separated from the mother. Give it another 4 weeks so the mother can teach
among other things good litter box skills.

Only trolls would think that if you post it on alt.cats. - We are all crazy
about our cats.......
