SEE the shocking photos of rooms with filled with trash, rotting food, stinking dirty dishes in a moldy sink, used condoms on the floor, feminine hygiene products floating in the toilet and floors and drains smeared with human excrement!
1-year-old taken away from mama inferior before it could crawl on the dirty rug to CHEW ON THE USED CONDOMS FOUND LAYING AROUND. Filthiest Mother on Earth is now a guest of the county lock-up; infant placed in foster care as sperm donor papa nowhere to be found (as usual in these cases).

And guess what? She's a resident of FLORIDA. But you probably already guessed that, didn't you?

At least she didn't have any animals, then it would have been a f.cking disaster area.
Nick Nuclear - 30 Apr 2008 04:00 GMT Nope, they don't have it (YET). I discovered it watching that bitch NANCY GRACE. Neener-neener. You don't think that place was a filthy shithole? sh.t smeared on floors and drains not that bad? No water? Trash piled high inside and out not that bad? Feminine hygiene products floating in sh.t-filled toilet not that bad? I can just imagine what YOUR home looks like Popess Evokobitch.

Ey man, they said they found sh.t smeared on the walls, but I don't see any in the pics, that's what I'm talking about... I don't doubt it was there and that it was bad. I'm talking about the CLUTTER... and with a one year old and a mentally ill woman looking after him, I'd expect something worse. Course they don't have smellernet (YET).
Oh and, Evokobitch? OOOOOOOH!!! Never heard that before. You win one internet. Not.

There's a TV show on here called Clean House (I think) and the story is always the same - The Team of perky, energetic young folk go into a cluttered house, zoom through it, have a yard sale, and re-do the place. It's a fun show - but does not get into anything scatological - that's for How Clean Is Your House? (I could have the titles backwards), the British equivalent, which goes into *seriously* FILTHY homes - I mean homes where unhousebroken animals have had their way for years - and clean up - but not before they test surfaces for disgusting germs, Listeria and e. coli etc. I tell you, it makes you want to disinfect everything, and it also makes you feel like, no matter how untidy *your* place got, at least it wasn't THAT bad.

It's too bad no one bothered to help the "mentally ill" woman with the 1 year old BEFORE it got that bad. There is an ugly culture out there today focused solely on taking children from the mothers, simply by not helping the women and waiting till everything falls apart to come in "take the kid somewhere better." It's disgusting how many women just abort the kids because they know they'll never get any help in the money area or kid raising area.
Heck, you'd think maybe Catholic Charities would have entire camps set up to help women struggling in those areas but NOOOOO, they just have ORPHANAGES so they can take the kids and monopolize and abuse them.
Can you imagine how many poor kids' only choice is to kill or give up their children so they don't have to bring their kid home to incestuous parents and continue the cycle of abuse?
We shouldn't have to talk about "how bad it got", helpful intervention should occur long before anything gets "that bad" and with no intention of taking an already depressed woman's kids to make her feel that much worse.

Amos Happ - 30 Apr 2008 09:34 GMT Familes of the mentally ill too often get blamed for these things, but there is a certain truthiness to this comment. There certainly is an amazing capacity for denial. For instance, in a former life as a "man in a white coat" I knew a man whose family looked the other way as he went from
1. Staying in his house all day to 2. Boarding up all the windows and doors to 3. Digging several 6-foot graves in the back yard
at which point The Man was called in by a concerned neighbor. The shut-in in question ended up doing much much better and reported feeling much happier and quite relieved once the voices and delusions were turned down several smidges. All things considered, it wasn't really that hard to redirect the psychosis into a more Slackful current for him, but you have to wonder at which point the family was going to act. Sheesh. One big reason for thiskind of the thing is the huge stigma aroubd mental illness. If their relative was showing clear signs of another life-threatening illness, like 'Beetus, they would probably intervene.

You're not supposed to talk about Mental Illness Club, especially on alt.slack. That's akin to the old saw about the fruitlessness of trying to teach a dog not to lick his own balls.

There don't seem to be any technical challenges to doing early intervention: one or another government branch (possibly several) are always busy collecting and collating all sorts of information on who is doing what to whom and where. The challenge would be to get them to act on such information they become aware of it, rather than allowing them to sit on it for their own purposes.
I mean if we're going to have a Right-Wing Totalitarian Panopticon Surveillance State, we might as well have some good come of it. As it is, these government-paid do-gooders are restricted from actually doing anything useful unless it just happens to also be to their direct personal benefit.
The other option is to have them hanged from light standards and used for target practice.

Steve

The problem is quite simple, really.
As soon as society does something to help the needy, there are scads of criminals who will rush in to take advantage of it. So, us conservatives say, "Nuts to that! - Were not going to pay for it". And the liberals say, "We still have to help the needy, even though there are those who steal from the system."
And this has been going on all of my life. (I am 72) I don't see any good answer, do you?
By the way....The ones who are smart enough to be able to steal from the system, are the very ones who do not need any help, because they can get a job anywhere.....So the ones who do really need the help, are the ones who are the least likely to get it, because they aren't smart enough to cross all the "T's" and dot all the "I's" on all the forms that us conservatives insist on being filled out in order to keep people from stealing from the system.....
Ain't that a kick in the head......

It belies your newness to alt.slack, for if you had lurked moar then you would know that this is one of the tougher newsgroups to troll. It also shows that you know nothing about the lovely Popess Pantiara...for if you did, then you would be fawning upon her and kissing her toes like the rest of us. My own house has looked worse than those pics when I was a somewhat dissolute bachelor, and I've been in some crack houses, shooting galleries and squats that were infinitely worse.
