I'd say wait until you've had it for awhile and see if any
personality traits worthy of a name crop up.
I call our cat "Psycho"... for good reason.... -)

I have a Main Coon type cat named Fleagor - based on his behavior, it
should have been Tickgore (he manages to find ticks even in below freezing
weather in February).
Two of my youngest red tabbies were named Siegmund and Sieglinda (the
third one from that litter is Brunhilde) - with time they became Curly (he
holds his tail in a spiral) and Chubby (the vet was the first one to
declare her "chubby" when he misdiagnosed her as being pregnant as a
kitten; she's big now, but still a bit heavy).
