She's Fine but Never Again

I was worried about my cat. They have had problems before but never anything
like the eye situation. For those of you who think you know me and my
situation....I did call the emergency vets here. They wouldn't give me any
information over the phone. They said she had to be seen. When I said I
didn't have the money they wanted they said thanks, goodbye. I took her to
my own vet as soon as they opened and she is now fine. There was no
infection. She has a scratch on her eyeball. Thank you to the few people who
understood and responded to my post with kindness. But I will never post
here again. Some of you people are condescending and rude. Yes, I am
disabled. And it does make things harder for me. Don't judge me. You don't
know me. You don't know what I can and cannot do. You are no better than me.
I love my cats more than my own life. I stayed up with her all night until I
could get her to the vet. I posted here because I was scared. But I was made
to feel like I am the devil. I'm not. The cats are my 'kids'. I do whatever
I can for them. They are happy and well taken care of. Believe of me what
you will. I don't care. Like I said before, thank you to the few people who
did respond with kindness and tried to stick up for me. I appreciate it.

Don't let a few negative people stop you from posting here.  I just
consider the source and  put that kind of person on my killfile list.
BTW, you're lucky you even have an emergency vet in your area.  There
is only one animal clinic in the small town closest to me (40 minutes
away) and they are only open five days a week

Please don't give up on the whole group because of a couple of mean people.  When you really stop to
think -- this is why wars are fought   -- people trying to rule others.  The very first time I ever
posted, I was attacked by someone who enjoyed attacking everybody.  My thought at that time was
"what on earth is wrong with him?"  I am glad your little one didn't suffer a serious injury and is
feeling better now.  I hope you are also.  You can find a lot of enjoyment reading the postings and
learning about others and also viewing pictures from time to time.  It's a good way to spend time
when you can't get out and around like you would like to.  Good luck and give your kid an extra hug
from me.   MLB

Glad to hear that your cat is fine and well.
Sorry about the experience you had with this newsgroup.
But that's usenet. You find people like that in every newsgroup.
You get used to it, after a while you know the people, so please stay.

Nikki,

I'm so glad that your kitty is okay!  As you can see from the replies
to this last post of yours, there really are some good people here who
are kind and helpful and whose first instinct is not to point fingers
and drip sarcasm.  I do hope you will killfile the folks who responded
negatively and, please, continue to post here.

Give that little girl a snuggle for us.  Again, I'm happy that she's
doing better!

Sincerely,

Mich Somday

Glad that your cat is doing well now. Even if you never post here you
can lurk as alot of people do, and killfile the people you have to.
There is good information here from time to time.
