When my cat sees lions, tigers, and other cats on TV he gets completely
mesmerized. Any ideas on why this might be?
I've been thinking maybe the motion of the cats on TV?
Does science know if cats can actually make out the 3D bodies (I remember
hearing once that dogs can not, I'm not sure if it is true)?
Also, does your cat do this?
Buddy stares at the screen intently and sometimes lets out little cackles
going "cack cack cack." It's soooooooo cute.

Mine used to get all engrossed in "The Meercats" whenever they would
be on but alas it looks like that show may be done. I have not seen
it on lately and they are showing the "Orangatans" (SP) now.

Hello first post to the group :-)
I had a cat who pounced on the TV during a nature programme about
birds. He couldn't work out why he hit his head, rather than catching
a nice tasty sparrow. He spent the next 10 minutes sniffing around
behind the telly trying to find the bird. It was obviously a great
disappointment to him and he lost all interest in the TV after that!
