I'm sure there have been posts about this before but, I haven't looked very
far down. We have seven indoor cats. Only one (maybe two) have been spraying
different spots for there years now. (the two I mean were born on our deck
8/04 and we kept them all & their mom) The two girls (kittens) are the ones.
A year ago vet said one had a kidney infeciton & after the medicine, she
quit. The other after her infection kept on. Took her back, he said some
cats are born with irritated bladder and there's not much to do but keep her
on meds. When she's on them, it's better, but it is very hard to do because
of the other cats. They only come in capsules, so have to pour them into
wet cat food which is normally a traet for all So E V E R Y night, it's
fight seven of them off me while I preprae the bowls, put Baby's medicine in
one, fight the other's off her so she gets teh right bowl. Then seven bowls
and the surrounding floor to clean up. It's just exhausting. I've tried
every way I can think of to get Baby & that food in a bathroom, in a bedroom
wiht music playing, out on our deck with the TV blaring inside.....those
other cats know the sound of items I pick up to feed & come running like
barrcudas!
I doubt anyone will have answers on how to get the meds to one out of seven
cats every night, but has anyone found that Feliwy Diffusers work for
preventing spraying. Baby & her brothers do fight fairly harshley sometimes
too, so I heard Feliway is a calming agent also. Is it worth the money?
We are cutting the backing off our practcially new Amish =made love seat
tonight because it is covered in spray, then will move it against a wall &
our big couch out to that spot. Any ideas how to keep them from spraying it.
we have their food bowls up against the couch they SPRAYED on. I only ever
actually "catch" Baby doing it, but my husband thinks they all do, as much
as I am home I think I would see some of the others, but be that as it may
Feliway diffusers may be our last hope of a harmonious household. We have
been fighting for years about this. I WILL NOT PUT MY ANIMALS TO SLEEP over
a thing like this unless they are in pain. If he cannot live with it, then
he can move. I love him, but theyare my responsibility. I took them in and
cannot put them out on the streets, to a shelter, or lie to someone about
them spraying to gte rid of them. Please some advice. Thanks so so much!

By gel caps to put it in and pill the furball. You can get gelutin capsule
pill at any drug store
I have two cats that get pills every time they eat I feed them in a
seperate room.

Sorry missed the post yes it can work. But you need to rule out other
medical problems before you can deal with behavioral issues. I have a cat
that was spraying it was do to where I left the newspaper it had the outside
scent on it. So he sprayed
I take it they are neutered. If not have it done.
Have you used any urine removal products such as urine gone or nature's
mircale to clean the spots they are going to for they will keep coming back
to it.

There are other medications to get the furballs on if they need it..
Question for you how many litter boxes do you have?
