Cats chewing their food?

My cat left a little present on my bedroom floor after he threw up.
Guess cats are known to do that, I guess. While I was cleaning up the
mess, I noticed his dry food was hardly chewed, and was mostly intact.
Do they all do this? I would have thought they chewed their food more.
Is this a problem? Thanks!

Cats don't grind their food in the way as we  as we do.  Look at their teeth
their are made for ripping and shredding as the predator they are.

Mine crunch up the dry food but when they vomit there are whole pieces also

Here is some information form Phil's site

I read in Cat Fancy magazine a while back that 70 some percent of the
dry food that cats each is swallowed whole.  I also read that that is
why dental dry food is mostly larger chunks to get them to chew it
more thus helping to clean their teeth.

Mine don't seem to chew as much I would have thought either. Phil
seems to pick food up with his front teeth, do the head-thrown-back-
pill-swallowing thing and then swallows it. That said, he is also the
most common thrower upper. Wonder if there is a connection?
